Created with crushed local Jersey pink granite below the lighthouse, set in a 9ct gold Corbiere lighthouse with oxidised gold doors and windows to accentuate the extra detail on our famous landmark. The stone size is 3.5 x 11.5mm. The pendant size is 17 x 12mm.
Corbière Lighthouse is one of the first sights to greet visitors to Jersey as they pass it on the ferry. Channel Island waters are notoriously dangerous, but the lighthouse comes as a relief, sparking the local phrase “avons pâssé La Corbiéthe” (we’ve passed La Corbière), meaning “the worst is over”.
The name Corbière itself means ‘place where the crows gather ‘.
