Our hand-cut and polished local Jersey Ormer shell is beautifully smooth, iridescent and rainbow-coloured. Jersey Ormer shell is unique to the Channel Islands. This shell was used in the 18th & 19th centuries to make furniture and ornaments. It is a local delicacy and can still be found in many households used as decorative pieces.
Crafted using local hand-crafted Ormer shell and 925 sterling silver with rhodium plating for long-lasting shine. Designed in-house at Jersey Inspired. The shell size is 7 x 10mm. Total length including the hook is 27mm. Width of the earring excluding the hook is 12mm.
