Jambo The Gentle Giant Clip-On Charm – JTGGC/02

This Jambo clip-on charm is crafted from 925 sterling silver and coated with rhodium for a longer-lasting shine. The size of Jambo is 10.8 x 12mm. This charm can be used with thin necklace chains, link chains and elasticated ball bracelets.

Our Jambo design pays tribute to a very special primate who became famous the world over in 1986 for protecting a five-year-old child, Levan Merritt, who fell 12 feet into the gorilla enclosure at Jersey Zoo. Much to onlookers’ amazement, instead of attacking the child, the male silverback inspected him. It remained beside his unconscious body in a protective gesture that kept the other gorillas at bay.

This 3D Jambo is brought to life in this unique collection, which includes silver necklaces, bracelets, earrings, charms, and a keyring, with each piece featuring an engraving of the gorilla’s name on his arm or leg. The connection between human and gorilla lives on through this collection.
