Crafted for those with a genuine love for Jersey. These Jersey Ormer Island drop earrings are crafted from 925 sterling silver and rhodium-plated for a long-lasting shine. They are then set with 11 x 6mm Polished Ormer shell. Island measures: 13 x 9mm. Earring length including the hook measures 25.5mm. Designed in-house by Jennifer Velazco.
We could only use our island’s shape with all of Jersey’s natural gems to showcase it. The Jersey Ormer shell is an authentic piece of Jersey’s heritage and contains a naturally beautiful rainbow-coloured mother of pearl. Ormer shells were used in the 18th & 19th centuries to make English furniture and ornaments. You will still find the Ormer shell in many Jersey households, used for its beauty as decorative pieces. We have captured nature’s beauty and brought it to life in this unique collection.
